Please read this document in its entirety in order to fully understand our copyright policy.
Unless otherwise specifically noted, all of the articles, poetry and graphics which are found on this website are the original work and property of Bill Kochman and the Bill's Bible Basics ministry -- which for sixteen years was previously known as Endtime Prophecy Net -- and are copyrighted 1994-2020 by the same.
Since I first began publishing my work on the Internet back in 1994, my position has always been that my work may be freely shared on other websites, or via other online channels and media, such as via the various social networks.
My motivation behind this free-sharing policy has been simple. In obedience to Christ's command, for the past five decades, my primary goal has always been to freely share the Gospel as far and as wide as possible, and by whatever means is at my disposal, with little interest in self-aggrandizement. As I point out in my articles, as Christians, our motivation should be to uplift Christ, and not to call attention to ourselves, or to what we have personally accomplished. Our vision should be to widely scatter the Seed of the Word, as Jesus explained in the Parable of the Sower.
Sadly, as noble as my motivations have been, the modern realities of the Internet -- which have brought to my attention certain clear-cut cases of plagiarism and copyright infringement, where my work has been outright stolen, altered and intentionally attributed to another author -- have forced me to change my policy.
Thus, to meet these modern challenges, from henceforth, I am rescinding the right to share my materials by copying or transferring them to any other online media. This restriction applies to other websites, blogs, message forums, social media pages, or any other form of online communication. This same restriction likewise applies to hard copies such as books, tracts, pamphlets, magazines, CDs, DVDs, etc. The right to copy my materials to these media is likewise rescinded.
From henceforth, if you desire to share my work with any of your online friends or associates, the only acceptable way to do it is by adding an active, CLICKABLE link from your website, back to the page on my website where my series, article, graphics or poetry is actually located. You may add as many links to your site as you wish. To clarify, you may NOT place any of my work -- articles, series, poetry or graphics -- on your website or web page. You may only place links to my work on your website or web page, UNLESS I give you specific written permission to share my actual work on your page or website. If I do grant you such permission, you MUST in all cases include a CLICKABLE link back to the original page where my work is found.
In the case of my graphics, even though they all include a URL in the actual image, you must STILL also include a CLICKABLE link back to the original version on my website. There must be an easy way for your friends and visitors to go to my website. Thus, the requirement for a CLICKABLE link.
If you are sharing my graphics work from one of my Facebook pages, or from one of the other social networks where I participate, you MUST use the "Share" link or button which is made available by that particular social network. Please do NOT download my graphics to your own device, and then upload them to your own library. Use the "Share" button or link. Thank you.
In addition, in accordance with the "fair use" clause of U.S. copyright laws, interested parties are welcome to quote reasonable, small portions of my articles, if you desire; but again, you are not permitted to copy entire articles to other websites, or to any other place, whether online or offline.
At the same time, please note that everyone is welcome to download my articles for your personal use to your own computer. All of my current articles can be downloaded in PDF format for personal use at the following URL:

Aside from the potential for plagiarism, there is another reason why I have implemented this more restrictive policy. That reason is simply that I am constantly updating my work so that it reflects my latest views. Updated material may include new Bible verses, new commentary and doctrinal positions, updated information regarding the specific issues that are discussed, etc.
My concern is that with my previous liberal sharing policy, a lot of different versions of my work will end up being distributed all across the Internet. This can obviously lead to confusion regarding what I teach and believe. Thus, by having one, central authorized repository for my body of work -- that is, the Bill's Bible Basics website and blog -- I can control the problem to some degree.
It is for this same reason that I also include a "published on" and "last updated" date on all of my articles and series, as well as on other BBB website pages. This way my readers will know whether or not they truly have the very latest version of a particular article or series.
Thank you again for your interest in my work. I do sincerely appreciate it, and my prayer is that you will continue to be blessed by it.
In conclusion, if you have enjoyed my work here, and feel that some of it would make a positive addition to your own website, and be a blessing to others, please be honest and do it in the aforementioned manner, by using links only. Do not resort to thievery. If you are also a Christian, think of how much you would be disgraced if your dishonesty were to come to light. Think of what a terrible reflection it would be of your ministry, your church, or your congregation.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding,
Your fellowservant,
Bill Kochman
