“We are fighting a much different pandemic than we were a year ago. Today, we are battling a pandemic of the unvaccinated.”
— Guam Governor Lou Leon Guerrero, August 20, 2021
Dear friends, only minutes ago, I received a shock when I decided to check the online edition of our local daily newspaper, the Pacific Daily News. Just as is now occurring in places like New York City, San Francisco, and elsewhere, the government of Guam is now taking things to the next level in its fight to get all Guam residents vaccinated against COVID-19.
First they tried using lotteries, and prizes such as cars, cash, etc. — in addition to an ongoing heavy campaign in the local media — to encourage Guam residents to get vaccinated. However, even those strategies did not convince many thousands of people on Guam to get the controversial jab. So now, the local government and health officials are taking off the gloves.
Despite the fact that since March of 2020, we have lived under enforced non-essential business closures — which has wrecked our economy — as well as enforced mask wearing and enforced social distancing; and despite the fact that in a population of approximately 165,000 residents, only 144 people have supposedly succumbed to COVID-19 since March of 2020 — the vast majority of whom had underlying health conditions and were elderly — as of Monday, August 23, 2021, our local government is now going to fine both businesses and individual residents, if they fail to comply with the vaccine mandate.
In an August 20, 2021 article in the Pacific Daily News entitled “Governor: Proof of vaccination required ‘to fully participate in society'”, we read the following shocking news:
—– Begin Quote —–
“Individuals who fail to comply face a $100 fine for the first offense, $250 for the second offense and $1,000 for the third and subsequent offenses. Businesses and organizations that fail to comply face fines of a $1,000 fine for the first offense, $2,500 for the second offense and $10,000 for the third and subsequent offenses.”
—– End Quote —–
So there you have it folks; exactly what some of us foresaw coming since months ago! Our freedom to choose for ourselves whether or not to get the COVID-19 vaccine has been slowly stripped from us; first through a steady campaign of inconvenience, public shaming, ridicule and ostracism — which has made life more difficult for many of us — and now through fines and an iron-fisted government mandate. Something is seriously wrong here, my friends! With a well-recognized, official survivability rate of 98% — even without the vaccine — we must all ask ourselves why they are really doing this. What is their ultimate objective with these draconian measures? What is their endgame?
As I said earlier, as a result of the stringent measures which have been taken here by the local government, over the past seventeen months, Guam has only seen a total of 144 COVID-19-related deaths in a population of some 165,000 residents. Following are the latest statistics I was able to find:

In conclusion, beware, my friends! Your community may be next to fall under such dictatorial mandates! You think it can’t happen to you? It has ALREADY happened to us here on Guam! If you wish to read the aforementioned Pacific Daily News article in its entirety, please go here:
