I honestly don’t understand this, perhaps because I am not familiar with all of the power and authority which the CDC holds during times of a medical emergency, such as the COVID-19 pandemic.
It just seems to me that the CDC should have nothing to do whatsoever with the eviction moratorium. It should be a decision left to the president and Congress. The CDC should stick to medicine and stay out of politics.
I am referring to this quote from an article in The Washington Times called “CDC balks at Biden’s request to extend eviction ban”:
