In discussing the word "revelation", we must explain another English word; that is "apocalypse". The word "apocalypse" has actually been misused in our modern day. While the
Battle of Armageddon in Israel is a part of the Bible prophecy scenario, the word "apocalypse" is actually derived from the Greek word "apokalupsis" and actually means laying bear, making naked, a disclosure of truth, instruction; and is thus applied to the Book of Revelation, because it reveals, or makes bare, future events. Consider this verse:
"The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:"
