Recently, an online friend and I were discussing the June 24, 2022 overturning of Roe v. Wade by the US Supreme Court. As most of you will know, Roe v. Wade was the landmark 1973 Supreme Court decision -- a very bad one at that -- which affirmed the constitutional right to abortion, even though there is absolutely nothing in the U.S. Constitution which explicitly establishes that right. As I have explained to my readers before, given the mentality of people hundreds of years ago, I am convinced that our God-fearing, Christian forefathers -- the founders of this nation -- would be very horrified to discover how the document they so laboriously wrote has been perverted and abused in our modern day by the liberal-minded thinkers.

Anyway, as I said, my friend and I were discussing the overturning of Roe v. Wade by the Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization decision, and the public reaction to that very unpopular Supreme Court ruling -- well, at least unpopular on the part of liberals and baby killers -- and comparing that reaction with what level of pushback might possibly occur if the current Republican-controlled SCOTUS -- Supreme Court of the United States -- were to have the fortitude to overturn the June 26, 2015 same-sex "marriage" decision in the Obergefell v. Hodges case. In that case, the vote was five to four.

As you may remember, the possibility of that blasphemous same-sex "marriage" decision being overturned at some point in the future, came to the fore in October of 2020 -- and created quite a stir amongst the liberals -- when Associate Justice Clarence Thomas -- along with Justice Samuel Alito -- wrote that the June 26, 2015 ruling in the Obergefell v. Hodges case by the justices at that time "enables courts and governments to brand religious adherents who believe that marriage is between one man and one woman as bigots, making their religious liberty concerns that much easier to dismiss."

Then, to stoke the fire even further, in June of 2022 when Roe v. Wade was finally overturned, Justice Clarence Thomas also opined "In future cases, we should reconsider all of this Court's substantive due process precedents, including Griswold, Lawrence, and Obergefell, because any substantive due process decision is demonstrably erroneous, we have a duty to correct the error established in those precedents."

To clarify for those of my readers who may not be familiar with these three cases, in the Obergefell v. Hodges ruling, after recognizing the right to marry as a fundamental right, the U.S. Supreme Court relied on Substantive Due Process and the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment, to hold that same-sex "marriage" is constitutionally protected.

For those of you who may not understand these legal terms, the 5th Amendment's Substantive Due Process is the principle that the 5th and 14th Amendments protect fundamental rights from government interference. More specifically, the 5th and 14th Amendments prohibit the government from depriving any person of life, liberty, or property without due process of law.

Regarding the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment, it prohibits States from denying any individual within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the law. Stated more simply, a State's laws must treat an individual in the same manner as other people in similar conditions and in similar circumstances.

Furthermore, in the Griswold v. Connecticut decision, the SCOTUS relied on the "penumbras" of the Bill of Rights to establish a right to personal and marital privacy that encompasses the use of contraceptives, and prevents States from forbidding their use. Penumbras refers to zones which are created by the specific guarantees of the First, Third, Fourth, and Ninth Amendments in the Bill of Rights.

Lastly, in the Lawrence v. Texas ruling which centered on a Texas law which criminalized same-sex sexual conduct, the justices of the Supreme Court of the United States found Substantive Due Process to encompass private sexual activity between consenting adults.

So concerning the June 26, 2015 same-sex "marriage" ruling, what Justice Clarence Thomas was stating is that maybe the aforementioned three cases -- which set precedents -- need to be re-examined, because some errors were made. Now if I understand this correctly -- I am obviously no legal expert -- if that could be proven to be true -- that is, that some errors were in fact made -- then it would call into question the legitimacy of the same-sex "marriage" decision. That is why the liberals freaked out and jumped all over Thomas when he wrote those things. In fact, his words created such an uproar, that even a few of the other justices had to go into damage control mode in order to calm down the situation.

As I said, I am by no means a legal expert in any shape or fashion. However, my general understanding and impression is that some of the justices on the U.S. Supreme Court cobbled together the aforementioned three decisions, or precedents, and magically created the constitutional right to same-sex "marriage". Earlier justices basically did the same thing with the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision. It too was an invented constitutional right which endured for almost fifty years. As noted earlier, I simply don't believe that the writers of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights intended for their work to someday be erroneously used as a mechanism to justify abortion or same-sex "marriage".

To continue with my original topic, my online friend is of the belief that the public pushback from overturning -- or at least trying to overturn -- the 2015 same-sex "marriage" decision would be even greater than what occurred with the overturning of Roe v. Wade. As I told him, personally, I don't know for certain. Maybe it would be greater, and maybe not. However, as I continued to ponder the issue, I arrived at the following conclusions.

First of all, the issue of abortion touches the lives of every single female teenager and adult woman in the United States of America. It is very much a hot button issue with them, and is very dear to their hearts. Eventually, every teenaged girl and adult woman takes a stand for or against abortion. According to 2021 online statistics, 38.4% of the total U.S. population are women who are eighteen years old or older. At that time, that meant 108,133,727 individuals. Obviously, that is a lot of females who have a stake in the abortion issue. It is a huge, influential force to reckon with, as public protests have clearly demonstrated.

In contrast, while the LGBTQ+ crowd is a very vociferous group of people, they are nevertheless a much smaller force when compared to the total population of the United States, and the total female population in particular. According to a 2022 Gallup poll, about 7.1% of the adult population of the United States identifies as being lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender. Furthermore, that number is expected to pass 10% in the near future.

Personally, I don't put a lot of faith in polls of any kind, because there are a variety of ways in which the results can be manipulated in order to produce the desired results. That begins with, for example, the way in which some pollsters decide who exactly to poll. If they choose a certain part of the country, or a particular demographic, it will naturally have an influence on the overall results of said poll. So if your goal is to produce a certain result from the beginning which will validate your claim or your position, all you have to do is make sure you poll the right people. Do you see how that works?

In addition to this, I also find the idea of extrapolating from a small sample of perhaps a few thousand people, to be rather questionable. There are so many variables involved that, in my opinion, to suggest that if one thousand people believe a certain way, then millions of people must believe that same certain way, is not very convincing at all. What it really comes down to is an estimated guess, because the fact of the matter is that the pollster really hasn't even polled those millions of people. That is what extrapolation is all about. It is a very iffy situation.

Another reason why I personally question the results of the aforementioned 2022 Gallup poll is because there are still a lot of folks who keep their sinful lifestyle a secret. As a result, I wonder about the accuracy of such a poll. At any rate, even if we accept the above figure, it is still small in comparison to the U.S. female population who are affected by the abortion issue and the overturning of Roe v. Wade.

Now, when we actually dig into same-sex "marriage" statistics for the United States -- as I did while writing this article -- it gets even more interesting. That is because we begin to see even more clearly what a small group these misguided, but vociferous, people are. While investigating, I came across the following information on the USAFacts website:

In the last decade, the number of same-sex married households more than quadrupled. Same-sex couples were 1.2% of all households with married couples in 2021, according to the latest American Community Survey data. These numbers have continued to increase consistently over the past few decades.

In the seven years since the Obergefell decision, same-sex marriages have become more common, but the changes have differed by state.

The number of same-sex marriages has steadily increased over time. In the years after Massachusetts became the first state to legally recognize same-sex marriage in 2004, gay marriage legalization efforts picked up in other states.

In 2011, there were around 168,000 married same-sex couples in the US. A decade later, there was around 711,000 married same-sex couples. Of these same-sex marriages, around 53% were between women, and 47% were between men.

Additionally, around half a million unmarried same-sex couples were living in households together in 2021.

However, same-sex couples still get married at lower rates than opposite-sex couples. Of all same-sex couples living together in 2021, around 59% were married. By comparison, 87% of opposite-sex couples living together were married.

A U.S. Census Bureau report released on February 24, 2021 estimated that there were about 980,000 same-sex couple households in the United States. Of that total, the report -- called the American Community Survey -- noted that 58% of said couples were married, and about 42% were unmarried partners. Of course, those liberals just love to exaggerate the facts. So it should really come as no surprise that in a December 2, 2022 headline, the liberal New York Times screamed "Same-Sex Couple Households in U.S. Surpass One Million -- A companion survey to the U.S. Census recorded 1.2 million same-sex couple households in 2021. About 60 percent of them were married."

Please notice the rather obvious disparity between what the U.S. Census Bureau actually reported, and what the New York Times chose to report, even though the NYT report was based on the same statistics from that 2021 American Community Survey. In a word, that seems like intentional manipulation of the facts on the part of the New York Times. While these figures may seem boring to you, the reason why I am sharing them with you is to emphasize how small the LGBTQ+ crowd -- and in particular, the actual number of married same-sex couples -- really is.

As I shared with you earlier, in 2021 when the U.S. Census Bureau released these statistics regarding the number of same-sex married couples, the number of women who were eighteen years old or older stood at about 108,133,727 individuals. By comparison, same-sex married couples hadn't even reached 1,000,000 yet. That is why I said that the pro-abortion crowd was a much larger force than the LGBTQ+ crowd. Yet despite the fact that they are still very much a minority group, we all know how much influence the LGBTQ+ crowd has had on modern American life. It is sickening to say the least.

As I will now explain to you, the reason why this occurs, is because there are some things in their favor. For one thing, the LGBTQ+ crowd has a lot of money. Some of them hold very high-level jobs -- such as in the tech industry, for example -- which thus affords them the ability to heavily contribute financially to LGBTQ+ causes. In other words, their money obviously translates into a lot of political influence and power.

We also need to consider the fact that the way the Democrats are able to push through their ungodly, liberal agenda is by the mere fact of having the required numbers. In other words, it basically amounts to mob rule. At this late date, I think that it is apparent that the liberal Democratic constituency in the United States outnumbers the much more conservative Republican constituency. All of those "automatic Democrats" who are coming across America's southern border doesn't help. I think it is a given that most of those immigrants -- legal or otherwise -- will embrace the Democratic Party, because the Democrats will give them lots of "gifts", so that they will vote Democrat when the time comes, right?

At any rate, I am convinced that this disparity in numbers between liberal Democrats and conservative Republicans will not only continue, but will grow even larger in the coming years. Why so? Well, because each generation since the 1950s has grown more liberal than the previous generation. I find this reality very alarming. We have all been affected by it, including us Christian parents. It is heartbreaking to see how some of our children are being swallowed up and deceived by this dark wave of liberalism. Now let's take a quick look at these upcoming younger generations.

According to the Statista website, in 2021, Millennials were the largest generation group in the United States with an estimated population of about 72.19 million individuals. For the record, Millennials are represented by those people who were born between the years 1981 and 1996. In fact, according to Statista, Millennials recently surpassed Baby Boomers -- which is my generation -- as the biggest group. Furthermore, Statista notes that Millennials will continue to be a major part of the population for many years to come.

Then there is the more recently named group, Generation Z, which is comprised of those individuals who were born in or after 1997. As of 2021, Millennials made up about 20.66% of the total American population. For those of you who may be curious, following is a 2021 breakdown of the population of the United States according to the Statista website:

The Greatest Generation (born before 1928)	0.26%
The Silent Generation (born 1928-1945)	5.76%
The Baby Boomer Generation (born 1946-1964)	21.16%
Generation X (born 1965-1980)	19.83%
The Millennial Generation (born 1981-1996)	21.75%
Generation Z (born 1997-2012)	20.67

Let me emphasize again that each successive generation is more liberal than the previous one, with the Millennials and Generation Z being the most liberal-minded of all. Despite our personal conservative views, we all have family members who are very liberal, and the situation is only going to get worse. In looking at the above statistics, if you perform a simple mathematical operation, you will discover that the three most recent groups -- Generation X, the Millennials and Generation Z -- comprised 62.25% of the U.S. population as of 2021. That is a lot of liberal-minded people, my friends. Of course, I am not saying that every single person in each of those groups is a liberal, but many of them are.

Do you understand what I am saying here? In short, it is inevitable that we conservative Christians will eventually be outnumbered by the liberals of the younger generations who even now are being prepared and groomed for the day when they will assume the mantles of power and run this country. By that time, our voice and our political influence will be greatly diminished, because we will be in the minority. In fact, going by the above statistics, I would say that we already are outnumbered. This reality simply hasn't sunk in yet for some people. Scripturally-speaking, even the Bible reveals that the righteous are always in the minority. For example, consider the story regarding the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. God could not even find ten righteous people in those wicked cities. You will find the story in Genesis chapters eighteen and nineteen.

So, taking all of the above information into consideration, can you imagine what sinful horrors may very well lie in our not-too-distant future? In other words, same-sex "marriage", drag queen story hour, pro-LGBTQ+ books in school libraries, hormone blockers, gender reassignment surgery -- also known as bodily mutilation -- etc., may be just the start of this terrible wave of sin in the United States and around the world. Can you imagine a gay or lesbian president shamefully representing our supposedly "Christian" country? Sadly, that day is more than likely coming in our lifetimes. How about pedophilia being recognized as an acceptable lifestyle? That will obviously take longer to achieve, but the liberals are already working on it and have begun to slowly soften up the public.

Consider this. What if gender reassignment surgery becomes as common as going to the dentist, even for young children? It has already begun to happen to a very small degree, which is why certain State legislatures have begun to pass laws which outlaw this devilish procedure being performed on minor kids. Where will it stop? Once we start sliding down that slippery slope, we pick up speed, and there's simply no stopping it. That is precisely what we are seeing happening right now. We are rapidly becoming a hedonistic society, just like ancient Rome, and we know what the Apostle Paul wrote about that.

Now, if you think that I am over exaggerating for the sake of shock value, allow me to give you a very quick history lesson. If you're around my age, then you will already know that what I am about to share with you is true. But for those of you who may not be aware, the USA has been morally slip sliding away for literally decades now. However, this slide into sin has been so slow, so gradual, and so subtle, that it was not until about halfway through the decade of the 2010s that a lot of people really began to wake up to what has been going on. However, sadly, by that time, it was already too late. Serious damage had already been done, and the victory had already been won. What has been going on since then basically amounts to mopping up exercises and tying up the loose ends.

Some of you are old enough to remember that it was some five decades ago -- back in the 1970s, actually -- when the LGBTQ crowd began claiming that they just wanted to be left alone to live their lives as they please. I was there, so I most certainly remember those days. Now fast forward fifty years to our present time and look at what has happened since then:

• gender reassignment surgery.

• renegade, liberal circuit court judges who repeatedly overturned the will of the people.

• renegade, liberal state legislatures who likewise overturned the will of the people.

• civil unions.

• June 26, 2015 and nationwide legalization of same-sex "marriage" by mandate of the Supreme Court of the United States, despite the majority of the American people being opposed to it.

• openly gay or lesbian bishops, pastors, priests, actors, politicians, sports figures and everyone in between.

• same-sex union blessings in some of the churches.

• adoption of normal, healthy children by same-sex couples.

• law suits against Christians and Conservatives who follow their hearts and their faith, and who oppose the LGBTQ life style.

• library books which openly promote the LGBTQ+ life style.

• gender-neutral bathrooms.

• drag queens in our public schools during children's story hour.

• teaching LGBT history in the classroom.

• liberal parents who encourage their children to act and dress like the opposite sex.

• hormone injections, puberty-blocking drugs in young children and double mastectomies on adolescent girls in order to alter their natural-born physiology so that they could appear outwardly the way that they were being made to feel inwardly by misguided adults and parents.

• gender-neutral option on birth certificates.

Now these wicked people promote and enforce their ungodly life style in every area of the entertainment and mass media industries where they possibly can, and constantly shove it in our faces. It is inescapable; unless one goes and lives in a cave. Yes, but of course, as they said, they just wanted to be left alone. Right? If you believe that nonsense, then you are seriously deceived! What about us? What about our right to live in a Bible-based, God-fearing society which honors and obeys God's natural order of things? How much longer will God endure this madness and rebellion against His holy Laws? When will the Lord's patience finally run out? When will His righteous judgments begin to fall on the wicked who mock Him everyday, and who cast His Word to the ground?

To fully understand how God views what is happening in our nation at this current time, and around the world as well, all we really have to do is turn to His Word. That is to say, the Bible. By so doing, we are given a very clear indication of exactly how God views the situation, and it is not good for those rebellious people who are on the wrong side of the fence. While these verses are not specifically talking about modern American society, nevertheless, they do perfectly describe our current time and the spiritual state of the nation, and the world in general:

"Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but THE WICKED SHALL DO WICKEDLY: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand."


"And‭ we know that we are of God, and THE WHOLE WORLD LIETH IN WICKEDNESS."


"The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts."


"But evil men and seducers shall wax WORSE AND WORSE, deceiving, and being deceived."


"And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually."


"The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?"


"Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. "Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, [homosexuals] for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;"


"And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;"


"Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire."


"Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion."


"If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."


"The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God."


"There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel."


As I mentioned earlier, one thing which the LGBTQ+ crowd has to their advantage is the fact that they have a lot of money. Money, of course, translates into tremendous power and huge influence. But that is not all. Stop to consider all of the liberal politicians, business owners -- such as the Hollywood elite -- etc., who have invested a considerable sum of money into both appeasing and promoting the LGBTQ+ crowd and their wicked agenda. As I said, we see their propaganda everywhere now. It is inescapable. We can hardly watch a television show or view a movie without their ungodly garbage being thrown in our faces. It is absolutely sickening! We are being inundated with their filthy lifestyles on an unprecedented level! But remember, folks; they just want to be left alone, right?

My point is, such people are not going to take too kindly to the possibility of same-sex "marriage" being overturned by the conservative justices on the U.S. Supreme Court. So it should be apparent then that if the SCOTUS decides to revisit the Obergefell v. Hodges decision and tackles the same-sex "marriage" issue, a mighty force is going to come against them. They obviously know this already. Just look at how the conservative justices were threatened and intimidated when Roe v. Wade was about to be overturned. Let me remind you again that Justice Thomas made a small peep, and offered a hint of his future intentions in 2020 and 2022, and just look at how those liberals strongly reacted to that by employing scare tactics in the mainstream media. As you may recall, they basically said "Beware! Now that they've overturned Roe v. Wade, they are going after same-sex marriage next!"
