As I point out in a number of articles, Satan knows the Word of God. In fact, the Devil knows the Bible better than you or I. After all, he is a spiritual being; and he was there when the Word was first spoken and written. After thousands of years of practice, Satan has become a pro at twisting and perverting God's Holy Word, in order to tempt people, and to trip them up with his lies and his half-truths. Just as he did with Adam and Eve thousands of years ago in the Garden of Eden when he inquired "Hath God said?"; and just as he unsuccessfully tried to do with the Lord Himself. Did Satan not use the Word when he tempted Jesus during the forty days that Jesus fasted in the wilderness? Didn't Jesus in fact call Satan the Father of Lies on one occasion? Consider this verse that is found in the Gospel of John:

"Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it."

As I point out elsewhere, it isn't that the demons don't know the truth. It isn't that they don't know who Jesus is. It is simply that, in their pride and rebellion, they have rejected His Authority, as well as the Authority of His Father. They are engaged in all-out war against Them, and lies and deception are the primary tools of their evil trade.

As I also explain in some of my spiritual warfare articles, not only does Satan know God's Word, but he will use that very same Word to try to condemn us after we have listened to his lies and half-truths and erred from the Way. In other words, he will tempt us, and cause us to sin, and then he will turn around and condemn us for our sins. But let us not forget that we are not to be ignorant of his devices, as we see by this verse that was written by the Apostle Paul:

"Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices."


Having shared the above with you, following is a fictitious conversation between Satan -- the Father of Lies -- and an unrepentant, condemned sinner who is about to be cast into the Lake of Fire. I wrote this unusual piece a number of years ago for a Java animation that I made called "The Final March", which I used to have on my website. The animation was accompanied by some dark music from the 1982 cult movie, "Blade Runner".

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Greetings Fool . . .

How appropriate that after all of this time, you and I should meet here like this. But then, in your heart, you knew this would happen, didn't you? Of course you did!

Come on now, you fool; this isn't a time for wallowing in self-pity. It's time to be honest with yourself. After all, you don't have very much time left.

A whole life you were given to make the right choice. From the time that you were young, in His Divine Mercy, God gave you opportunity after opportunity to accept the message of the Sacrifice of His Son. But fool that you were, you rejected Him. Not only did you reject Him, but you scoffed and laughed at those who, out of love, tried to help you to see the Light. In your folly, you cursed and you spit at the Name of Jesus Christ, and claimed that His Father did not exist.

And why did you do these things, fool? Because you listened to my lies, and to my evil deceptions which I planted in your darkened mind, and whispered in your evil heart. I gave you darkness, while feigning to be an angel of light. Even the Apostle Paul was smarter than you. He wrote:

"And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light."


And the Prophet Isaiah wrote:

"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"


If you had played it smart, you would have listened to the Christians when they tried to tell you that I am the father of lies. But then, the true Son said that thousands of years ago. Don't you remember? He said:

". . . he [ meaning me, the Devil ], was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it."


You see pal, Jesus knows my true nature. He knows that since Cain and Abel, I have inspired all of the violence and killing which has filled the world through lies, greed, lust and jealousy. Jesus is fully aware of my power. He knows that what I offer people in the world is absolutely nothing compared to what awaits those who trust in Him. Again, Paul said it well when he wrote:

"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him."


But you see pal, Jesus knew; because He came from the Father; just as He returned to the Father. That is why He resisted my evil temptations in the wilderness those forty days. Remember? He could have had it all in this world, but He resisted me; just like James warned you to do:

"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."


But not you, pal. Because you rejected God's Word, you didn't realize these things, did you? If you had read it, or if you had listened to others, you would have known that John wrote:

"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world."


You see pal, for my appointed time, I was the god of your world; and so I had the power to offer these temporal things to you. You wanted money, so I gave it to you. You wanted power, so I gave that to you as well. You wanted fame, so I obliged. I gave you every single thing that your evil heart desired; and in so doing, I also blinded you to the truth; exactly as the Apostle Paul tried to warn you. That is, if you would have taken the time to read his words:

"Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:"


"In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."


You see that, pal? You are a blind child of disobedience . . . and you let me do it to you!

I really find it rather amusing, because, as you can now see, I've been exposed for literally thousands of years; and yet you foolish humans continue to deny my existence, and fall for my wicked tricks.

Of course, if you deny God's existence, then it is only logical that you have to deny my existence as well . . . and you are a very logical person, aren't you? Don't you remember how you proudly boasted that any reasonable person knows that neither God nor I exist, and that we are just silly Christian myths?

How well King David wrote of you when he said:

"The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God . . ."


Well, it's a little too late now, but I suppose your current dilemma has come as quite a shock and a reality check for you, hasn't it, pal?

I truly hope that you don't mind me referring to you as "pal". After all, we are very much alike you and I. You followed me and my ways to Eternal Destruction, instead of following the path of Christ, which is the way to Eternal Life, so I find the word "pal" rather fitting.

Well, you thought you knew better, didn't you? Now see where it has gotten you? You see pal, I used the same tricks on you that brought about my own downfall. That's right. I know that you already know exactly what they are: PRIDE and REBELLION! I wasn't happy with my position in the Celestial Courts, so I tried to usurp the authority of the Most High . . . It didn't work.

Well, I won't bore you with my personal story, as it is already written in that Book that you refused to read. The point is, you wanted to be your own boss, and the captain of your own fate. You wanted to be your own little god, just like me, didn't you, pal?

Well guess what? A few thousand years ago, I convinced Adam and Eve of the very same thing. I lied to them and told them that they would become as gods. They took the bait, just like you and many others have done since then. They weren't happy with what they had. They wanted more. Doesn't that sound familiar?

You humans are so pitiful. What you will do to gain a little bit of personal power and wealth in your lives. You are such foolish, temporal, short-sighted creatures. Very few of you ever stop to consider your Eternal Fate; at least not until it is too late; and then you whine like babies!

Hey; look. Don't blame it on me. I didn't make you reject Christ. You did that all by yourself. A lot of people blame me for some things that are their own fault. All I do is see inside your wicked, evil hearts, and then present the opportunity for you to do what you really want to do . . . rebel against the one true God!

You are the fools who make the wrong choice and decide to listen to me. You are the ones who choose to follow my ways instead of the ways of Christ, and refuse to submit to His Divine Authority in your lives. You are the real rebels! Isn't it time that you accepted the blame for your own sins and acts of rebellion, instead of blaming me?

Well, now it is too late. The Books have been opened, and you have been found wanting. Jesus fully warned you of the shortness of life when He said in one of His parables:

"But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?"


And didn't James tell you:

"Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away."


You had your chance; a full lifetime in fact. Now it's time for you to take . . .

. . . THE FINAL MARCH

Come on . . . you have a date with the Second Death. That's right pal. You are going to be totally snuffed out of existence in the Lake of Fire; both soul and body reduced to ashes for all of Eternity; just like Jesus warned:

"And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."


As you take your final march together to the pit, allow me to share a few more things with you, so that you have the full picture; just in case you are still a little confused. But then, I am the author of confusion, you know. Once again, the Apostle Paul exposed me well when he wrote:

"For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints."


Now I guess you know who has taken peace from the Earth, and from the lives of many of its citizens. Oh well, I did what I was ordained to do. Anyway, why don't you ponder these thoughts as you take your final stroll. Oh, are you weeping now? Considering the bitter truth you are now hearing regarding yourself, I suppose it is appropriate. And He did say:

"Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth."


"And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory."


Now isn't that strange! The Saviour returns, and yet everyone is sad and mourning! Now why is that, pal? I will tell you why. It is because those are the ones who rejected Him all of their lives. Thus, upon His return, they realize what a big mistake they made. Just like you, pal. After all, He also said:

"Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels."


Why are you looking back at the Golden City? It's not for you, and never will be. You had your chance, pal! Your time has run out! As Paul wrote:

"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:"


∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Thus went the fictitious conversation between Satan and the unrepentant, incorrigible sinner, as they approached the Lake of Fire. Following are some additional verses for your consideration:

"And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever."


"And I saw a great White Throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose face the Earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the Books were opened: and another Book was opened, which is the Book of of Life; and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the Books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the Lake of Fire. This is the Second Death. And whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the Lake of Fire."


It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God . . . For our God is a consuming fire."


"Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices."
