As I write this article on November 5, 2024, presidential election day is just now dawning in the United States of America. That being the case, I felt compelled to voice some of my personal thoughts which I recently shared with one of my online friends. Some of you who have your eyes open will obviously recognize -- and probably agree with -- everything I am about to say. Others, perhaps not.

My friends, I believe that it is accurate to say that many of us Christians and Conservatives can see the wave of ungodliness and wickedness which has taken over the United States in recent decades. And in actuality, over the past seventy years or so, with increasing fervor. It is really hard to miss seeing, unless one is living in a cave. All of the regular political, corporate and industrial corruption aside -- none of which I accept or excuse -- I am referring to such pervasive evils as abortion on demand, everything that entails the wicked LGBTQ+ agenda, and most recently, the transgenderism deception which has literally flooded American society, leaving few lives untouched by it.

The tragedy which I find most alarming -- which many of us totally expected -- is that so many Americans who lean in that wicked direction towards such sexual perversions, are now under such profound deception, that they have convinced themselves that they don't even need or require the Lord's forgiveness for anything. Thus, they do not even seek it. There is simply no spirit or attitude of repentance in them whatsoever. There is no contriteness of heart. There is no fear of Divine Retribution. There is no sense of remorse or wrong-doing at all. Just nothing. I find that shocking.

As many of you will already know, this is particularly true of everyone who supports, promotes and participates in the vile practice of abortion -- including Kamala Harris, the current Democratic presidential candidate -- as well as who supports, promotes and participates in the LGBTQ+ agenda. With regard to the latter, as I point out in articles such as my 2001 series entitled "When Sin is No Longer a Sin", the people who engage in these wicked, unnatural lifestyles and sexual perversions believe that God accepts them just the way they are. After all, He is a loving, merciful and understanding God, right? Sarcasm intended.

Even though the Bible clearly indicates that their lifestyle is both sinful and an abomination to God -- or an unclean, disgusting thing -- they foolishly and erroneously claim that God is quite alright with them. Contrary to the Scriptures which say "Go, and sin no more", and which declare that we are supposed to abandon the old sinful life -- that is, the old man -- and become new creatures in Jesus Christ -- in other words, put on the new man -- such deceived individuals just go on sinning, and openly, foolishly and very defiantly flaunt their sins in God's face. Consider the following verses which validate these two points:

"Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee."


"When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more."


"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."


"And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness."


"And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:"


"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."


"That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;"


"Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;"


"Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin . . . Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.‭ Neither yield ye your members ‭as‭ instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members ‭as‭ instruments of righteousness unto God.‭ ‭‭For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace."


However, my friends, you and I both know that those people who claim to be Christians, and yet who continue to engage in that sinful lifestyle, clearly serve another Jesus -- a false, liberal Jesus -- and another god, and they believe in a false, deceptive gospel. It is most certainly NOT the true God of the Holy Scriptures, or the Gospel which is preached in the Scriptures. Consider the following group of verse and be warned:

"But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth ANOTHER JESUS, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive ANOTHER SPIRIT, which ye have not received, or ANOTHER GOSPEL, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him . . . For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works."


"I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto ANOTHER GOSPEL: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach ANY OTHER GOSPEL unto you than that which we have preached unto you, LET HIM BE ACCURSED. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach ANY OTHER GOSPEL unto you than that ye have received, LET HIM BE ACCURSED."


You know, probably like many of you who are also so-called "Baby Boomers", when I was a teenager growing up in the mid to late 1960s, we would never ever have imagined that the world -- particularly the "Christian" USA -- would be the way it is today, meaning so wicked, vile and ungodly. That is how conservative the nation still was back then. No, it was not perfect by any means. But it was in better shape than it is now in a spiritual sense, if we ignore the war hawks of that era. After all, they have always been around,

Back then, people would have laughed and thought a person crazy if they were to suggest that someday in the Christian United States of America, men would be legally able to marry other men, women would be able to marry women, men would be outwardly changing their gender, women would be outwardly changing their gender as well, and "men" would be able to become pregnant. Never mind indoctrinating young children in elementary school with the same disgusting nonsense. Yet here we are today in modern Sodom and Gomorrah, USA! Sadly, how times have changed, and how we have fallen so far from a place of more righteous living!

As I explain in my 2023 article entitled "Future of Same-Sex Marriage", the most alarming thing which some people may not realize -- at least those people who have not lived quite as long as I have -- is that since the 1950s, each successive generation has been more liberal, and more progressive than the previous generation. This is a fact of life and easily provable. That being the indisputable case, what does that say about the future of this once God-fearing country?

While some of my friends may not like to hear this, my gut feeling is that within a generation or so, the Conservative Right in the United States of America -- which obviously includes all Bible-believing Christians -- will retain very little power, politically or otherwise. That is, of course, unless there's very major, national, sincere repentance all across this country. Sadly, as wonderful as that would be, quite frankly, and honestly, I must tell you that I really don't see any large-scale national repentance occurring in the foreseeable future. Do you? Be honest with yourself.

While I could be wrong, my sense is that a lot of Christians and Conservative-leaning people in the United States don't yet fully realize how this current wave of wickedness which has taken over the country will inevitably end. Maybe they just don't want to see it. Perhaps it is too frightening for them to even contemplate, or maybe simply too disgusting?

Maybe they are hoping that if they just stick their head in the sand, it will simply go away, and we will return to the "good old days" when men were normal and only married women, women only married men, children were taught that there are only two genders, prayer was still said in public schools, people were not offended by seeing monuments of the Ten Commandments in public places, abortion was nonexistent -- at least legal abortions weren't -- cussing and nudity was not found in general public television shows and movies, and when the LGBTQ+ agenda wasn't forcefully shoved in our faces at every possible instance.

In other words, perhaps these naive people don't yet realize exactly where this current wave of wickedness is headed in the future in the United States, and probably beyond. Neither do they realize that unless something very drastic happens -- meaning severe judgment from the Lord -- nothing is going to stop its progression in the future. It will just get worse.

Seriously think about this, my dear friends. If nothing has been able to stop it or prevent it from growing bigger and expanding over the past sixty plus years or so, and it has only grown worse and more pervasive decade after decade, what is going to stop it now, short of Divine Judgment from the Lord?

My friends, just take an honest look at the current younger generation and the way they think and act, their attitudes towards different social issues, the things they like, and the things they are doing to themselves. Now consider what their children will be like, unless God puts a full stop to all of this defiance, wickedness and rebellion against His holy Word.

So as I mentioned a moment ago, perhaps within only another generation or so, Conservative-thinking people -- including true, God-fearing, Bible-believing Christians -- will truly be in the minority. That is, if we haven't already reached that point, and the scales have already been tipped against us.

Of course, to some people, the current situation may not now appear as drastic or as hopeless as I have painted it here. They may even think that I am being overly dramatic and too pessimistic. They may even still retain some level of hope for positive spiritual change to occur in the United States of America. In fact, I know they do. However, I personally believe that hope is in large part due to the euphoria which currently surrounds Donald Trump and the Make America Great Again -- MAGA -- movement. No one can deny that it possesses a huge amount of energy, and that is why the Democrats are so afraid of it.

However, at the same time, we need to remember that just like you and I, Donald Trump and many of his followers are all part of a Conservative-leaning generation -- perhaps the last Conservative-leaning generation -- which will disappear from the Earth within a few decades at best, because we will all simply be dead. It is an undeniable fact of life. That being the case, exactly what is coming up behind us? What is in the rear view mirror?

There is no need for guessing here. We already know the answer to this question, because even now it is already in plain view, and it is alarming, and it is not very pretty. Just look at the Left and what they represent, support and promote. What more needs to be said? And again, just take a close look at the younger generation to get a clue. After all, they will be the next leaders of the nation. What kind of values will they bring with them? Frightening, isn't it?

Now, some of you may argue, "Well, I am raising my children in a Christian environment. When they reach adulthood, they will help to hold the balance." I wish I could agree with that sentiment, but the sad, heart-breaking truth is that things don't always turn out as we anticipate. Many of us invest a lot of time and money in making sure that our kids receive a proper Christian upbringing. And yet, despite our best efforts, some Christian children grow up to be the most liberal adults around. It is indeed tragic, but despite all that we do for them, some of our children are just unable to withstand the wicked indoctrination, the peer pressure and the political correctness of the world, so they cave in, and they become just like them. I am sure that some of you have experienced this.

While this next point may be hard for some of my Christian and patriotic friends to hear, I have come to realize that there is a certain inherent futility embedded in the MAGA movement, because unless those people can somehow change the mentality of the entire younger, liberal generation, all is already lost, in my view.

As I said a moment ago, a lot of Christians and Conservatives just don't realize yet the reality of the current situation, because they are still currently caught up in the euphoria of the MAGA movement. As I fully explain in "Future of Same-Sex Marriage", demographics are already working against us, and they will continue to do so. So once the dust settles, where will the nation be standing? Will it even be a place that we oldsters still recognize, assuming that we are still around? If you don't recognize it even now, imagine how it will be even one generation from now.

The 2024 US presidential election will be a strong indicator of what happens when the dust settles. If Kamala Harris wins -- even if it is through cheating, which is quite likely given the improprieties which are already being discovered and reported -- I think we will have our answer. We will know if the current downward spiral will continue. I am not talking about a downward spiral in a political sense, but rather in a spiritual sense, although they do work hand in hand.

This leads me to my next point. As I have been stating for the past eight years ever since Donald Trump came down the golden escalator in Trump Tower and declared his candidacy for president of the United States of America, I am rather convinced that unless positive political change is likewise accompanied by national repentance and spiritual change in the heart of the nation, it is in effect all meaningless. A nation can be very powerful in a political, economic and military sense. But if it has lost its spirituality, its soul, it has nothing. Of course, I am not referring to just any spirituality. I'm referring to the Christian foundation upon which the United States is supposed to be based.

As I have mentioned before, when 9/11 occurred over twenty years ago, many American Christians were hopeful that such a shocking, humbling event would get America on her knees, and that national repentance would quickly follow. However, that hope was short-lived. Those of us who are old enough know what happened. In the years that followed, America engaged in even more disastrous, unnecessary foreign wars. Same-sex "marriage" was legalized on June 26, 2015. Allowable legal abortion was extended up to the moment of birth. And now, a lot of people are totally confused regarding their God-given gender. Oh, and let us not forget that the tentacles of this wickedness now reach down to the elementary school level with "Drag Queen Story Hour" and books which promote sexual deviancy in school libraries.

So as I said earlier, there has not been, and there will not be, genuine spiritual change, and true national repentance, until Americans are honest with themselves, recognize their sins, seek forgiveness before a merciful God, and truly have life-changing experiences through renewed faith in Christ. Until that day arrives, and until this happens, America will continue sailing down the river to Hell, because political change alone just will not suffice. Please consider this Biblical warning:

"The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God."


But you see, the tragedy is that this brings us around to where we started, because it should now be clearly evident to a lot of you reading this article, that many Americans have absolutely no intentions of repenting of their sins. Not only do they not even recognize them as sins, but they relish in what they are doing, and they believe that God is fine with it as well. How can one even begin to get through to such people who have become so deceived?

As for me personally, as my longtime friends will already know, I do not place my faith in the political systems of corrupt, fallible men. For that very reason, I am neither a supporter of the Republicans, Democrats, Independents nor any other political party. I believe that all politicians are basically liars, deceivers and manipulators to some degree. It does not matter if it is Kamala Harris on the Left, Donald Trump on the Right, or anyone else. Call me a cynic if you like, but I believe that they all distort and manipulate the facts and the truth for political advantage when it suits their purposes.

Furthermore, the simple truth of the matter is that many politicians wear a thin Christian veneer for the very same reason -- that is, political advantage -- but they are not truly God-fearing, Bible-believing Christians at heart. If they were truly Christian, their lives would reflect it in every way, and not just by church service photo ops, or by inserting the words "God", "Bible" and "Christian" in their speeches here and there in order to appease Christians, and to appear to be one of us. As Jesus said in the Gospel of Matthew, and as the Apostle Paul likewise wrote:

"Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them."


"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."


Sadly, insofar as the American political arena is concerned, many naive and gullible Christians continue to be constantly deceived, duped and manipulated by these smooth-talking political tricksters, election after election. Some of them just never seem to learn their lesson. These children of the world outsmart them every time. They promise them the world, but then they rarely ever deliver. I was just reminded of the following two Bible verses:

"And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light."


"But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived."


Now regarding this issue of placing our faith in political leaders, the Holy Scriptures offer us the following very wise advice, which I personally take to heart. I hope that you will too:

"It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes."


Now, as you may already know, some Christians -- most notably the Dominionists, who I do not support or agree with -- claim that Donald Trump is some kind of modern-day king Cyrus. For those of you who may not be aware of this particular Biblical fact, in the Old Testament, Persian king Cyrus was prophesied to sign the edict which would free the Jews from captivity in Babylon, and allow them to then return to Israel in order to repair Jerusalem, and to rebuild Solomon's temple. Consider the following group of verses where these ancient events are mentioned:

"Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself; That frustrateth the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad; that turneth wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish; That confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places thereof: That saith to the deep, Be dry, and I will dry up thy rivers: That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid. Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut; I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron: And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel. For Jacob my servant's sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me."


"Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD spoken by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying, Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth hath the LORD God of heaven given me; and he hath charged me to build him an house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Who is there among you of all his people? The LORD his God be with him, and let him go up."


"Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying, Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The LORD God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he hath charged me to build him an house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Who is there among you of all his people? his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the LORD God of Israel, (he is the God,) which is in Jerusalem. And whosoever remaineth in any place where he sojourneth, let the men of his place help him with silver, and with gold, and with goods, and with beasts, beside the freewill offering for the house of God that is in Jerusalem. Then rose up the chief of the fathers of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests, and the Levites, with all them whose spirit God had raised, to go up to build the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem. And all they that were about them strengthened their hands with vessels of silver, with gold, with goods, and with beasts, and with precious things, beside all that was willingly offered. Also Cyrus the king brought forth the vessels of the house of the LORD, which Nebuchadnezzar had brought forth out of Jerusalem, and had put them in the house of his gods; Even those did Cyrus king of Persia bring forth by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, and numbered them unto Sheshbazzar, the prince of Judah. And this is the number of them: thirty chargers of gold, a thousand chargers of silver, nine and twenty knives, Thirty basons of gold, silver basons of a second sort four hundred and ten, and other vessels a thousand. All the vessels of gold and of silver were five thousand and four hundred. All these did Sheshbazzar bring up with them of the captivity that were brought up from Babylon unto Jerusalem."


"But in the first year of Cyrus the king of Babylon the same king Cyrus made a decree to build this house of God. And the vessels also of gold and silver of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took out of the temple that was in Jerusalem, and brought them into the temple of Babylon, those did Cyrus the king take out of the temple of Babylon, and they were delivered unto one, whose name was Sheshbazzar, whom he had made governor; And said unto him, Take these vessels, go, carry them into the temple that is in Jerusalem, and let the house of God be builded in his place. Then came the same Sheshbazzar, and laid the foundation of the house of God which is in Jerusalem: and since that time even until now hath it been in building, and yet it is not finished. Now therefore, if it seem good to the king, let there be search made in the king's treasure house, which is there at Babylon, whether it be so, that a decree was made of Cyrus the king to build this house of God at Jerusalem, and let the king send his pleasure to us concerning this matter. Then Darius the king made a decree, and search was made in the house of the rolls, where the treasures were laid up in Babylon. And there was found at Achmetha, in the palace that is in the province of the Medes, a roll, and therein was a record thus written: In the first year of Cyrus the king the same Cyrus the king made a decree concerning the house of God at Jerusalem, Let the house be builded, the place where they offered sacrifices, and let the foundations thereof be strongly laid; the height thereof threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof threescore cubits; With three rows of great stones, and a row of new timber: and let the expenses be given out of the king's house: And also let the golden and silver vessels of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took forth out of the temple which is at Jerusalem, and brought unto Babylon, be restored, and brought again unto the temple which is at Jerusalem, every one to his place, and place them in the house of God."


"And the elders of the Jews builded, and they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. And they builded, and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and according to the commandment of Cyrus, and Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia. And this house was finished on the third day of the month Adar, which was in the sixth year of the reign of Darius the king."


"And Daniel continued even unto the first year of king Cyrus."


"So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian."
